My time in West Africa as a child was often spent watching my mother, along with other women in our tight-knit community, meticulously crafting dishes that had been passed down through generations. Cooking on top of outdoor open fires and coal pots, accompanied by music and singing, was a joyful experience. It sometimes took the women three hours to make these colourful dishes. But with the rich cultural history and love in creating wholesome warm meals, they laboured to bring each dish alive.

After travelling the world serving on the front lines in the British Army. It was in the English countryside that I started making my Chilli Divi Marinade and Jollof Starter Sauce which was an absolute hit among locals. My desire is to explore this terrain but not limit it to foodies only but extend the invitation to all lovers of culture, especially African culture.
